Save With Vinegar

Cleaning Tips

  • Label Remover – If you ever have trouble removing a label or that sticky stuff that remains after you remove it then this tips for you. Apply some white vinegar to the label or sticky mess until it is saturated. Leave it for a few minutes and it should peel right off.
  • Remove Smells – Have you ever had a bad smell that you just couldn’t get rid of? Or maybe you burnt dinner? Don’t worry. Go to the cabinet and get your vinegar. Simply boil a cup of vinegar with 2 cups of water. Within 15 minutes, the smell should be gone.
  • Dishwasher – Is your dishwasher looking like it needs a bath itself? Then run a full empty cycle with vinegar instead of detergent. When done it will shine. Also you can use 1/2 cup of vinegar with your dishes inside to also give them a shiny clean.
  • Fabric Softener – Did you know that vinegar can soften your clothes just as good as the store bought stuff? It’s true. Just add vinegar in the same amount as you would your normal liquid fabric softener. Your clothes will come out smelling fresh.


  • Gardening Tips
    Gardening can be hard work. But with these few tips to help, your garden will look like you spent all day in it.


  • Flower Pots – You always want your flower pots to be clean before use. To do this fill your sink with two-thirds water and one-third vinegar. Place the plastic or clay pot in and leave for about an hour. Rinse with warm soapy water and you’re ready to go.
  • Remove Weeds – Removing weeds can be hard work. But if you use white vinegar straight from the bottle it makes the job easier. This even works with weeds that are peeking between cracks in your sidewalk or patio. After a few days you’ll notice the weeds changing color and eventually die. You’ll need to repeat this every few months.
  • Increase Soil Acidity – Plants like Azaleas, Rhododendrons and Heather love acidic soil. If you have hard water in your area and you can’t provide this type of water simply add 1 cup of vinegar to 4 liters of your water. We promise your plants that love acidic soil will love you.
  • Flower Food – If you love cut flowers this tips will make you smile. To prolong the life of your cut flowers simply add 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of sugar to their water.






  • Personal Care Tips
    Did you know that vinegar can help with sunburn and even wasp stings? Read on to learn even more tips on how to use vinegar with your personal care.


  • Sunburn – Have you ever spent all day in the yard on a summers day and end up with sunburn? Honestly I think we all have. To help ease the pain of sunburn just rub some vinegar on the area using a soft cloth or cotton ball.
  • Wasp Sting – Ever been outside and get stung by a wasp? Those stings hurt really badly. To ease the pain and swelling just apply some apple cider vinegar to the area with a cotton ball.
  • Hair Care – If you find that your hair is oily simply add ¼ cup apple cider vinegar to your hair after you have shampooed. Once you have applied the vinegar, rinse in warm water.
